I believe in spirit.......The spirit of the trees that my instruments come from, the spirit behind the intention as I create, even the spirit and energy of this beautiful place that I work in.... There is an element of mystery here. For those so inclined, there is a unique quality that we seek in the building of a fine musical instrument, in which all the elements and skills come together in harmony... which we call spirit.
The very best guitars have this indescribable ''personality', a unique quality or presence that eminates from an 'alive', resonant musical instrument, designed and built with love, the satisfying end product which culminates the mastery of the luthiers art.
